Two days apart. The thin river threading a green valley becomes a kilometre-wide channel of mud and rock, from the glacier down past Timure and Syabrubesi.

As of the 27 August data cut-off, no government or humanitarian body had published a consolidated total for people displaced, sheltering or in need. The roads and bridges into the worst-hit valleys are gone, so assessment teams still cannot reach many settlements. What is on this page is what has been verified so far. It will rise.
